Dillon Jarrell, Ph.D.
Dillon Jarrell, Ph.D., has extensive expertise in gene engineering, process development, and translation to GMP production. Having earned his B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering and his Ph.D., in Bioengineering Dr. Jarrell has a passion for developing novel and translational solutions for human health needs.
Outside of his role at Phylloceuticals, Dr. Jarrell is also a Scientist at Umoja Biopharma, combining gene editing, bioreactor process development, and developmental biology to produce off-the-shelf allogeneic cell therapies for cancer treatment. He is also a Professor of Biotechnology at Mount Marty University.
Previously, Dr. Jarrell’s work in pediatric regenerative medicine at the University of Colorado combined expertise in biomaterials, cell biology, heart development, and bioreactor design to engineer heart tissue for the correction of infant heart defects. Earlier in his career, Dr. Jarrell served at miRagen Therapeutics, Inc. and New Sky Energy, Inc.
